Vision for the New Year

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs reminds us we mostly live at the bottom

of the pyramid, getting our needs met, putting out fires. We are so

stressed in life. Nothing has simplified this for us, including technology.

Many are posting articles giving us permission to rest. It's interesting

that we actually feel nonproductive when we rest. God designed us for

communion with him, to relax and enjoy the garden, and rest. In the

new year, let's begin with this reminder. When I attended The Unstoppable

Cultures Fellowship this past year, I was gifted a compass. Knowing the

direction of our lives is key to success. If we are not intentional with our

vision, goals and purpose, the circumstances of life will swish us away

with the currents. Let's make every effort to set goals, build skills, healthy

habits and be accountable. Get a partner, life coach, group that supports

you on this journey. Become who you want to be. Lead the life you want.

The journey is just as important as the destination. Happiness is around

every corner. It is for us to notice and embrace it. Opportunity is lost with

our distracted stressful passing of days. Awaken with intention to pay

attention. Begin with Him. He is the Creator and giver of everything good.

Ask Him to help us be aware of His Presence, opportunities and what

really matters in life: people. The Earth is full of people. Let's focus on

getting our relationship right with God, commune with Him in His Word daily,

asking Him what He wants. Many mysteries and surprises await for those

who surrender all to our loving Heavenly Father.
