The premise of Psalm 91 is protection
from God and it is conditional. He who dwells..
THAT is the condition.... to dwell with and in
Him. You may ask.... how do I do that? God
never asks us to do anything without giving
us the ability. With Scripture all we have to do
is keep reading. He willingly instructs us. He
wants us protected in His shadow. We have a
daily choice to dwell or rebel. Rebellion for a
Christian is not following His commandments.
When He says to do something, that is a
commandment. Obeying what He says brings
dwelling with Him. Dwelling with Him brings
protection. When He says ‘in everything give
Thanks,’ He is giving a commandment, not a
suggestion, so to obey Him let’s decide today
‘In everything we will give thanks today!’ This
is really a key to dwelling with Him. He desires
obedience and not sacrifice, meaning we do a
lot of good things for Him, the question He
asks is, are we obeying Him.... to love....
show gratitude.... have Faith.....He does say
without Love our works are vain.
1 Corinthian 13. We need to remember we
can do nothing in ourselves and remember
to say, ‘I can do ALL things through
Christ who strengthens me!’
