So who knows everyone in person that you
have ‘friended’ on social media? I believe
the term has been redefined this past
decade. I can hang out at home and post,
share, comment, tag, message, etc. those
within my network. I was disheartened at
almost half a century old, to be asked if
I was on Facebook. At the time, I was not.
I offered my phone number and email as
a more personal contact manner. The
person was indifferent to receiving that
information brushing me off. I had spent 2
years volunteering in the children’s
ministry under her and her husband’s
leadership. Hmmmmm and why know me
on Facebook and not in person? Are we
Voyeuristic? Curious? Gossipy? Well, look
how popular reality TV is! Our society has
taken a very shallow turn. 😔
